OEwaves Announces Ultra-Narrow Linewidth Laser Module

Company to offer complete laser module with less than 300 Hz linewidth in a compact package

Pasadena, California (January 24, 2012) OEwaves introduces a new Laser Module containing the previously announced Ultra-Narrow Linewidth Laser Source which was based on self-injection locking of a semiconductor laser to proprietary Whispering Gallery Mode (WGM) microresonator. The new module also houses the low noise laser driver, TEC driver, controller, along with proprietary algorithm for enhanced performance and stability, all in a small form factor. A built in USB interface enables user friendly command and control of the laser module. The laser module exhibits long term frequency stability and ultra-low frequency noise.

The narrow linewidth laser in this new form factor enhances commercial and military fiber optic systems for a variety of sensing, monitoring, LIDAR, security, and test and measurement applications where high resolution, high precision, and absolute accuracy are required.
