The module offers ultra-narrow Lorentzian linewidth of less than 500Hz  and low phase/frequency noise in a compact form factor.

The 1 Micron Narrow Linewidth Laser Module Houses a proprietary driver/controller and the OEwaves laser source which is based on a high quality factor (Q) Whispering Galley Mode (WGM) micro-resonator. The laser is scalable to a variety of wavelengths within 980-1080 nm range.

Based on a variety of crystalline and amorphous materials, WGM micro-resonators  feature greater than 108 optical quality factor.  They can operate as Fabry Perot cavities suitable for laser stabilization and optical filtering applications.  With just a few milli-meter in diameter, the stand-alone WGM micro-resonator offers a free spectral range (FSR) of 10-90 GHz and resonance contrast greater than 50%.  The cavity is compatible with a wide range of wavelengths from UV to IR.

The resonator is being offered as a stand alone high-Q and high finesse optical cavity product for use in diverse applications requiring high performance laser and optical filters.

OEwaves Sub-Hz Linewidth laser Module houses a proprietary driver/controller and the OEwaves laser source which is based on an ultra-high quality factor (Q) Whispering Gallery Mode (WGM) micro-resonator.  The laser is scalable to a variety of wavelengths in C band.

The unique technology of the OEwaves Sub-Hz Linewidth Laser Module leverages the self-injection locking of a suitable commercially available laser diode via a resonant optical feedback from a high-Q WGM micro-resonator.  Its monolithically integrated approach along with micro-scale mass and volume make the laser virtually insensitive to environmental vibrations.
