Alex Maleki

Alex Maleki currently serves as the President of OEwaves. Prior to joining in 2025, Alex served as a Managing Director at Mandala Space Systems and at Idealab, where his responsibilities included fundraising, recruiting, providing strategic guidance to entrepreneurs, and evaluating new business-ideas for commercialization.

Before joining Idealab in 2008, Alex held senior roles at two venture-backed startups in the enterprise software and services space (Net Effect and Mobile Automation), both of which were successfully acquired. He holds a BA from UCSB, a JD from Southwestern University, and currently serves on the boards of Xosphere, Idealab company, and OEwaves.
