OEwaves has been selected by NASA to develop and demonstrate a high-performance, miniature photonic oscillator capable of delivering spectrally pure W-band signals. This project aims to create an oscillator that combines compact form factor with outstanding phase noise and stability suitable for demanding space, radar, or communications applications.
By using advanced photonic resonator technologies, OEwaves is engineering the oscillator to retain spectral purity even under environmental stress, paving the way for robust signal sources in W-band (75-110 GHz) systems. Once realized, this component can significantly reduce size, weight, and power requirements while maintaining performance levels critical for aerospace missions.
This effort underscores OEwaves’ commitment to pushing the boundaries of precision RF and photonic technologies — helping make high-frequency, low-noise signal generation more accessible to space-borne and harsh-environment platforms. Stay tuned for updates on performance milestones and integration readiness.
